DENTAL SERVICESFebruary is National Pet Dental Health Month and our LVT's offer dental screenings at no charge. Our clients will then receive a 10% discount on all dental related services during the month of February. Dr. Ed Taylor is a board certified veterinary specialist credentialed in Veterinary Dentistry. He is available for oral examinations and to provide specialized dental procedures for our patients. Arrangements may be made thru the front desk. SURGICAL SERVICESOur Veterinarians routinely perform ovariohysterectomies, castrations, exploratory surgeries, mass removals, and many other surgical procedures. Dr. Mahanes really enjoys soft tissue surgery -- especially thyroidectomies. Onychectomies (declaws) for new patients are performed ONLY after physical exam and discussion with the Veterinarian performing the procedure. Existing patients must consult a member of our technicial staff prior to scheduling surgery. All anesthetic patients are ausculted (listened to) by the Veterinarian performing the procedure/surgery to make sure heart and lungs sound clear prior to pre-medications and anesthesia being administered. The Veterinary staff utilizes pain medications (mixed in with each patient's pre-medication cocktail) and nerve blocks (when needed) for all surgical procedures. Patient comfort is a top priority at Cat Care. All patients are treated as if they are our own personal family members. GROOMING SERVICESOur groomer, Angela Polaro, works Tuesdays & Wednesdays. She is available by appointment (this will depend on how cooperative your cat is for the grooming) or you may utilize our drop off service. She is able to perform a wide variety of services for your cat from combing out undercoat, clipping mats, perianal clip (potty path clip), & bathing, to a complete bodyclip. We are also able to sedate or anesthetize your cat (if needed) in order to be clipped. If your cat is not a client or is past due for an exam, then a physical exam by one of our Veterinarians will be performed at your expense in order for us to administer sedation or anesthetize your cat. BOARDING SERVICESOur clinic offers boarding for cats of all ages and any medical condition! We offer boarding on a short-term or extended basis. Our cages measure 26"x26"x20" and 26"x26"x32 and are resin molded without seams for germs/ bacteria to hide in. Cage doors are removable for disinfection when each boarder goes home. Condos (2 cages connected by a porthole) are available upon request for an additional fee. We DO NOT offer a play area or let cats roam due to potential health risks (most kitties are too nervous to enjoy the freedom). We DO require current vaccines to ensure the health of all of our patients. Please feel free to contact the front staff for more information. Payment For Services RenderedPayment in full is expected at the time services are rendered. Cat Care accepts VISA, MasterCard, Personal Checks (w/ appropriate ID and a DL #), and cash.
