Stacy Marion, LVT, VDT
Stacy Marion has many roles at Cat Care. She is our head LVT as well as Hospital Manager. She is a
1991 graduate of BRCC's Veterinary Technology program. Immediately upon graduation she began her career with Maire
Mahanes. When Dr. Mahanes opened Cat Care in May of 1993, Stacy came aboard part time until full time hours became
available in January of 1994.
Beside her obvious love for animals (cats in particular!) she enjoys the interaction with clients and the
challenges that veterinary medicine brings. Stacy is also a Veterinary Dental Technician (VDT) and loves performing
dental prophys. She was named Technician of the Year in 2000, nominated by Dr. Mahanes and her associate (at the time)
Anne Dagner, DVM. This is a honor she is very proud of as the state association (VALVT) has many nominations per year
to send ballots out on.
Stacy is married to Chris and has two awesome kids, Cooper Thomas and Simone Arden. Together they
reside in a home they built in 1993 at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Waynesboro. She has had many pets over
the years and currently has 2 cats, 1 dog, & 1 fish. Chuckie, her bottle raised brown tabby and Piazza, her rescue orange
tabby both are neutered males. Tornado is the real star of the house. She was Cooper's 7th birthday present...his
Rottweiler. What a great babysitter & guardian for the children. Merty is Cooper's beta fish! She
is quite old and keeps on swimming!
Stacy enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends whether it is at home or boating. She loves to scrapbook
and garden as well. She is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys her trips to Pittsburgh to visit with relatives. |
